if you ever wanted something then god knows you got nothing have you ever had the feeling of sleeping on the ceiling a corporations money means more to them than bodies im rising from the ashes bleeding on the mattress i know you wanna see me and offer up a beating ive never been that friendly but ive been here all along and i got time the artist was a lonely one on the surface of the sun something wrong, is there something wrong with me dont let your talents wasted on flavors never tasted or else you might feel simple and build yourself a temple the winds of change of are blowing but progress still is slowing ive never felt so empty but ive gotta get these songs out of my mind

about

For a while now I've been wanting to somehow collaborate with artists I've been following on Instagram. I was just gonna ask if I could use their art for a cover to one of my future music releases to sort of 'cross-promote' our works but then I was thinking how cool it would be to write the songs based on my impressions and reactions to their art.

So here we are. I built the songs from scratch specifically for these pieces. Loosely basing the tunes around the art.Themes from my life and my point of view as well as Tales from the perspective of the listener and the observer who are experiencing these moments first hand. As with most of my work these songs are spontaneous and primordial, with a sense of familiarity that one can't quite put their finger on.There's a lot going on. Some Doors, Some Talking Heads, Some Punk, Some Pop.

'Say What?' and 'The Flood' can really be seen as a whole album if one wanted to. I recorded them simultaneously on purpose for this reason. Almost like they are bookends to the tales within themselves.

It was a lot of fun to make.

Thank you for listening and looking!

I wrote, performed, mixed and mastered the music in my little basement room here in beautiful Boise Idaho, California.

Thank you to ZU ZU and Crooked Little Flower for the endless inspiration.
